This is my second Unreal Engine project. I was aiming to create another small promo video to go along with another song off my EP. So for this one I was matching the tone of the song; dark, mysterious and with an edge. I used several Kitbash3D models to lay out a dark cathedral. I wanted a brutalist visual direction.

I was responsible for the cinematography, lighting, and animation of this project.

I created fake god ray light shafts with noise textures created in Photoshop. I then used those textures and projected them on flat geometry planes I laid in front of the camera. It introduces a thick air feel to the room which augments the tone I think.
I also pulled another trick I learned from a past project, and that was to animate a noise shader node on those flat planes with a mask on it to create the twinkling dust in the light effect you see at the beginning of the animation. I was really happy with the result and had fun exploring that!
